Lost: The missing girl from season 3

There are many mysteries surrounding Lost. But for me, the biggest one isn’t about time travel, Smoky, DHARMA, or Ben’s creepy eyes.

It’s about this.

Remember the scenes with Jack at the beginning of Season 3, when Juliet visited him while he was locked up? There was NEVER a girl locked up with him! Yet here, in promotion pictures released by ABC before the season started, is a picture of the girl.  Obviously the producers decided to cut those scenes. But what were the scenes going to be??

Who was this girl?! It’s bugging me like when you’re trying to remember a word, and you just can’t quite find it. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to share. I really want to know what the cut storyline was going to be. 🙂

  2. It’s been along time, but here’s how i remember it…..

In the scene where Jack sees his wife talking to another man near the schools playground a girl falls and Jack comes to her rescue. When his wife notices he has been stalking her she is furious and ushers the little girl inside. At some point either on the playground or in the scene shown above the girl tells Jack ‘not to trust her’. I’ve not actually seen the clip so I don’t know if she say it about his wife or Juliet or both!

  3. You remember the scene with Jack in the cage? The tail section people are ushered outside “to watch.” Jack talks with one girl, she was the airline attendant on the plane (who, if you do some digging, is the girlfriend of an Oceanic IT guy. He is the one who starts looking for 815 when the news comes out of it being found in the Sunda Trench, leading to the Find 815 ARG)

I bet if you go back to that scene, though, you will see this little girl.

  4. War – I had no idea about the stewardess being the girlfriend of an Oceanic IT guy! That’s so cool! And maybe the girl is one of the ones caught by the others. It would be interesting to compare pics.

Vito – Great memory about the playground incident. Now I want to go watch that episode again! I forgot about the “don’t trust her” scene!

  5. Sorry for the confusion, I heard it was filmed but cut from the episode. So far it has not appeared on the DVD’s. I guess it would be a cut scene instead of a deleted scene. These photos are all that exist.

  6. Critically acclaimed and a popular success, Lost garnered an average of 16 million viewers per episode on ABC during its first year. It has won numerous industry awards including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005, Best American Import at the British Academy Television Awards in 2005, the Golden Globe for Best Drama in 2006 and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series.

  7. Aloha Dube. Since my daughter decided to tell you about this, though she is in trouble still, I thought you should still know what happened as a thank you for deleting her comments. These pictures were taken from a scene that was deleted, unfortunately. That is why most of you don’t recall it. Season 3, episode 1, deleted scenes “Doctor to the rescue”
It starts off as a flashback were Jack is spying on his ex-wife at her place of work, a preschool. He is across the street in his car and everybody else, kids and teachers, are playing at the playground. He see’s his ex and another male teacher working and giggling and Jack looks upset. All of a sudden, another teacher shouts out in a panic, CALL 911. Jack see’s that a little girl was on the ground motionless. Jack has to come out of hiding, getting busted for spying, in order to save her, giving her the heimlich and she spits up an apple and starts to breath again. The frantic teacher hugs the little girl and walks away leaving Jack and his ex for a small discussion. The ex walks away and Jack turns to see how the little girl is doing. As Jack goes to pat her on the head she tells him” Don’t trust her Jack” and he gets a startled look on his face.

The photo you see above is when Jack is in the chamber when he first gets “captured” so to speak, on the island. As he is coming around, he hears the girls little voice saying”don’t trust her Jack”, and he thinks he see’s her. He looks around and the little girls is gone.

That’s pretty much it. We don’t know any more about it. We were bummed when they had to delete the scene. They claimed they had done too much filming and they had to cut it back to fit it on the show. She was not in any other scenes for those of you who think they saw her, unfortunately. We had a lot of fun shooting those scenes. My daughter got to meet and take photos with Matthew Fox and Julie Bowen and the other cast members. We will always treausure our experience. Hope this helps you LOST fans. Mahalo : )

    • WOW! Thank you so much for sharing what happened! I’ll have to go back and watch those deleted scenes to see your daughter. 🙂 And it’s nice to have a mystery solved. Thank you so much for sharing this. I can’t even begin to imagine how much fun it must have been for your daughter to be able to film scenes for LOST. What a wonderful experience to have! 🙂
