An Inspiration

One of my writing inspirations is Ted Dekker. He works 10 hours a day on his books, and writes fromĀ a creative viewpoint that few can match. In a fascinating interview found at http://www.teddekker.com/?em845=29374_0__0_~0_-1_12_2005_0_0&content=author_termpaper, Ted Dekker explains his viewpoint on writer’s block:

“I’ve never had writer’s block. There is no such thing. Writers give into their vices or give up or get distracted, they don’t block. They just call it that because they need a good excuse.”

This is a fine example for all writers – including myself – who try to employ the “easy excuse” of writer’s block.
